Justyna Hołubowska-Chrząszczak

In 2015 I graduated from the The Graphic Design department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, obtaining the title of a Master of Fine Arts. In 2008-2009 I was a scholar of the Polish Children’s Fund. So far, my works could be seen at the post-competition exhibition „Warmia, The Rebellion of Culture” at the castle in Reszel, the collective exhibition „A tendency to focus” in Gdańsk, an exhibition of graphics students of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, which took place in Poznań, and on my individual exhibition titled „Sweet Laziness”, which took place in April 2014. In 2015 there was another of my solo exhibitions, called „Sweet Colorful Rest”. In May 2015 she took part in the exhibition in the Gdansk Academy of Fine Arts in Szczecin (TRAFO). In addition, I took part in the collective creation of a mural at the Junction of Peace, which was a part of „Traffic Design” festival in Gdynia.

Excerpt from Art Fresh Festival 2016:
She comes from Olsztyn, but she currently lives and creates in Gdynia. She has a M.A. degree in Graphic Arts from the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. She uses the digital painting technique in her creations. She is mostly inspired by the beauty of nature of the world. Despite bionic, transparent landscapes, her works are also full of human figures. Their closed eyes emphasize the dramatic tension of the position in which they are presented. The artist’s works are characterized by poster and illustration aesthetics. A flat plain of colour is often encircled with a contour. The fabulous, decorative plant motives complete the works’ compositions and appear in varied color ranges: from monochromes and neutral grays to widely intensive hues.
